With great responsibility comes great power

With great power comes great responsibility. That's what Hollywood tells its, Super heroes.

Because what do you tell someone who has accidentally discovered a superpower? That please use it responsibly. Don't create havoc. Use it for the greater good.

In the real world, however, with great responsibility comes great power. First, we do a good job of the responsibility given to us. Then we get the leeway to take decisions.

And power today is about taking decisions. The more powerful you are, the bigger decisions you would take.

However, there's a scenario which is similar to the superhero scenario, which is about the founders.

Picture this. You're a founder. You have raised a few million dollars. Now you have the power to decide what you want to do with it, what to build, what not to build, who to hire, who not to hire, whether to spend it on marketing or use it to build product. And it is not like you haven't earned it. It's still it's a massive privilege because most people don't get this.

So what do you tell a founder who has discovered a superpower? Or what do you tell a founder who has secured capital?
